TORU LAUNCHES RESCUES ROCK THE RUNWAY 2011 CHARITY CALENDAR

This fall, compassion and fashion come together for the very first time in a charity calendar created by TORU, called Rescues Rock The Runway. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Paws 4 You Rescue Inc., a rescue group in Miami, FL that TORU is actively involved with. Teaming up with renowned photographer Andrew Brusso (andrewbrusso.com), TORU & Brusso have transformed local Paws 4 You rescues into super models for a 2011 Calendar to be released early this Fall. The stunning photos and real life stories not only capture the outer beauty of these animals, but also reveal the inner beauty of the loving people who rescued them.
One of the models, Simon, is the latest addition to the TORU pack. Simon walked the runway last May for TORU’s premiere charity event for Paws 4 You, “Rescues Rock the Runway” in Coconut Grove, FL, which launched the debut of their line of Rescue Wear. Shortly after, Simon found his forever home with Vanessa Rossman, co-owner of TORU.
TORU and Brusso hope to expand Rescues Rock The Runway to create a photo book that features rescue dogs from non-profit rescue organizations all around the nation. The calendar will be available to purchase this Fall on torudog.com and select pet boutiques worldwide.
